Youth for Climate is an action group founded by Anuna De Wever and Kyra Gantois. Current climate policy, both local, national and international, is not ambitious enough and cannot offer us a good future. From an apolitical point of view, because climate is a matter that concerns everyone, Youth for Climate wants to send a clear signal that the next government will have to be a climate government. It is not up to Youth for Climate to figure out exactly how to achieve this, there are enough (climate) experts who are currently being ignored. Their expertise will have to be consulted and implemented. As long as there is no clear and effective climate policy, the future does not seem worthwhile to continue studying. This is highlighted by the weekly truancy promotions.
